Ignite High Point brought back 2015 series curator Tess Mangum Ocaña, of Sonic Pie Productions, to put together the new season of shows. She hand-picked performers predominantly from North Carolina but included a few nationally-touring artists such as The Stray Birds and The Rad Trads. “Plus, I noticed the crowd really responded to last year’s New Orleans style brass band, so we’re kicking off 2016 with another: Boom Unit Brass Band” says Ocaña.

"The overwhelming success of last year, our first year, shows ‘if you build it they will come’ and that High Point wants and needs something like this" says Richard Wood, member of Ignite High Point.

The Ignite High Point Whistle Stop Concert Series is made possible by Ignite High Point, City of High Point, Sonic Pie Productions, Bank of North Carolina, High Point Enterprise Radisson High Point, Forward High Point and Triad City Beat.  Concerts are held rain or shine at 100 West High Avenue, High Point, NC.  On-street parking is available; paid parking is available at The Pit deck. Bring a folding chair.
