I'm not sure what Eric Ginsburg, our Guilford County reporter, has going on.Jordan Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04557465835080238650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620598390715460127.post-36176191929040080412012-10-28T08:56:49.732-04:002012-10-28T08:56:49.732-04:00Jordan, For starters, I don't think we disagre...Jordan, For starters, I don't think we disagree.

The point I was making was that it was only AFTER attempting to brand me as crazy that the politicians and MSM (again, not YES! Weekly) admitted Greensboro had gang issues.

Now I'm on to other issues and they are attempting to paint me as crazy again.

I hope someone from YES! Weekly will be at the East Greensboro Summit, aka, the Gathering of the Trolls.Billy Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08615912036741588743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620598390715460127.post-90389753648168826782012-10-27T23:41:39.457-04:002012-10-27T23:41:39.457-04:00Billy, lots of Greensboro politicians across the s...Billy, lots of Greensboro politicians across the spectrum were raising concerns about gangs in this period. Keith Holliday joined Pat McCrory and other mayors to lobby the NC General Assembly for funding to combat gangs in the summer of 2007. Mary Rakestraw talked about her concern about gang members coming to North Carolina from El Salvador in her first month on council. Don Vaughan said Greensboro had "a heck of a gang problem" during his NC Senate campaign in 2008 and his opponent championed Det. Ernest Cuthbertson, the GPD's gang specialist at the time. I'm not sure which corruption or scandals you're talking about, but we are constantly writing about economic and geographic disparities in Greensboro at YES! Weekly. None of these issues are more or less important than the Latin Kings.Jordan Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04557465835080238650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7620598390715460127.post-23062128634469011672012-10-27T20:37:12.051-04:002012-10-27T20:37:12.051-04:00I find this trial coverage especially interesting ...I find this trial coverage especially interesting being that I spent 2005 - 2007 trying to get Greensboro to even acknowledge we had a gang problem here only to be accused of being crazy and only seeking attention for myself by politicians and the media.

And now, when I attempt to bring up other issues like the deliberate disparity between neighborhoods, corruption, scandals and other issues facing Greensboro the MSM (Not Yes Weekly) and the Mayor do the same thing again and brand me a Troll.

I think I'm beginning to sense a pattern here.Billy Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08615912036741588743noreply@blogger.com
