Max Benbassat called into our office with an exclusive. After hearing voters' concerns, he said that he has decided that "if elected, I’m going to do everything in my power to prevent tax increases on Greensboro citizens of all classes, including the working class."
I mentioned to him that the council voted this year to not raise water rates, along with keeping the tax rate even. Benbassat indicated that his pledge also includes user fees for water, and he would vote against any increases.
