35-day reports for some Greensboro City Council candidates are going up at the Guilford County Board of Elections website.
Thus far, they show challenger Nancy Vaughan in the lead for at-large candidates, with $14,321; challenger Daron Sellars leading the District 1 race with $350; Jim Kee in front of the race for the open District 2 seat, with $3,092; incumbent Zack Matheny leading the District 3 race, with $8,050; and Mary Rakestraw in the lead for the open District 4 seat, with $1,665.
.
So far, neither of the mayoral candidate or District 5 candidates have filed 35-day reports. I'll post updates as they come in, and flag any developments that change the rankings.
UPDATE 1: I should note that under state election law candidates are not required to report campaign finance activity until they have raised a minimum of $3,000. It's conceivable that their opponents have raised less than $3,000 but more more than Sellars or Rakestraw.
