GOP candidate steps up to challenge Democrat Don Vaughan for NC Senate seat

Filing for election in a wide range of races from US Senate to county commission and local school board closes tomorrow.

In Guilford County, Republican challenger Jeff Hyde has filed to challenge incumbent Democrat Don Vaughan for the NC Senate District 27 seat. Another Republican, Michael K. Garrett, is staging a primary challenge against fellow GOPer John Blust in NC House District 62.
