Candidates for Greensboro College president visit
Three finalists chosen by Greensboro College’s presidential search committee will visit the campus this week to speak on a question posed by the chairman of the search committee, and take questions from students, faculty and staff. Christopher Holoman, currently the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Hilbert College in Hamburg, NY, will visit on Wednesday. Lawrence Czarda, currently the vice president for administration at George Mason University, will appear on Thursday. And Harley Knowles, former vice president for institutional advancement at the University of New England in Biddeford and Portland, Maine, will visit on Friday. The college has been headed since September by interim President C. Brent DeVore, following the resignation of former President Craven Williams months earlier. Williams left following revelations that the college was experiencing mounting financial trouble. — Keith T. Barber
