Republican John Wayne Welch has withdrawn from the NC Senate District 28 race. Welch called our office to disclose the decision. He said he might endorse one of the other candidates, but needs some time to think it over.

That is a shame as I was very interested to hear some of Mr. Welch's ideas. At the very least, as a business owner - his business being chimney sweeping - he could have come up with some very clever campaign slogans.
