Stratocruiser inks deal with Zip Records San Francisco record label to release and distribute new release, The Spark

North Carolina rock band, stratocruiser , today announced it has signed a deal with San Francisco record label, Zip RecordsThe deal marks the return of the band to the label that released the successful and critically acclaimed 2004 album, Suburban Contemporary. The new album, the band's fifth full-length, The Spark, will be released sometime in late summer 2011.

"We are excited to return to the home of our biggest success" said stratocruiser singer and rhythm guitarist, Clay Howard." We worked very hard to put together a strong set of songs that represent stratocruiser in 2011, and we are honored that the label also believes in these songs. We could not be happier to have Zip records releasing and distributing The Spark throughout the world."
