Greensboro foreclosure work featured on Rachel Maddow show

The March 23 Rachel Maddow show featured a segment nearly 11 minutes long about the struggle against foreclosure in Greensboro, lead by Occupy Greensboro and Guilford County Register of Deeds Jeff Thigpen.

You can watch the segment online here. Click on Thigpen's face where it says "standing up to banks, putting who-owns-what back in order."

The summary continues, "In a TRMS exclusive, Rachel Maddow reports on one North Carolina town standing up to the big banks that destroyed the housing market and the lives of many local families with foreclosures that may turn out to be fraudulent."

Rather than try and sum up the segment, which mentions Occupy Greensboro's 400-person audience debut film screening at the Carolina Theatre, I recommend you just watch it for yourself.

The image above is a screen shot of Thigpen from the segment. He is up for reelection but is running unopposed.
