The Special Investigations Division of the Winston-Salem Police Department conducted a pharmaceutical fraud investigation at 4622 Country Club Road, the office of Dr. Joel Morgan, Novant Health. The investigation revealed that an employee of the business, Candice Wilmoth, issued fraudulent prescriptions for10,230 dosage units of Hydrocodone. The prescriptions were passed by Richard Freeman at local pharmacies over a several year time frame.
Wilmoth and Freeman are currently being held under a $5,000,000.00 bond at the Forsyth County Detention Center.
