Tea Partiers Converge on Downtown Greensboro
to make their voices heard on Tax Day, April 15, 2010

from a press release: Citizens of Guilford County who are disillusioned with the current administration are stepping up once again to make their presence known. Conservatives for Guilford County will be hosting this years’ Tea Party event at Governmental Plaza in Downtown Greensboro on tax filing day. The main purpose of this event is to bring Guilford County’s conservative community together and to empower citizens by encouraging them to choose their candidates wisely and vote in the May 4th primary and the November 2nd election.

In addition to Conservatives for Guilford County, conservative groups such as, The John Locke Foundation and NC FairTax will be participating in this monumental event. With the 2009 Tea Party bringing in over 1000 people, this years’ event is expected to assemble record crowds. Liberty Loving Americans are outraged over the passage of Obamacare and are looking for an outlet to express their concerns. Immigration reform, out of control government spending and local unemployment numbers are some other issues likely to be addressed. State and local elected officials from all political parties have been invited to come hear what their constituents have to say at this peaceful demonstration. The Tea Party is designed to cross party lines. All 2010 candidates currently running for office have been invited and will be available to answer questions from those they hope to represent.

This family-friendly event will offer plenty of opportunities for adults and children to express their patriotism with live music, face painting, hot dogs and, of course, tea. RUSH Radio’s Bill Flynn and Pam Furr will emcee the program which will feature inspiring guest speakers from all walks of life. A voter registration table will be available as well as other opportunities for motivated citizens to get involved in the community. Tea Partiers will begin gathering at 4:30pm with the main program running from 5:30-6:45pm.

Heh. I have to write on the whiteboard 100 times, "Blogging isn't reporting. Blogging isn't reporting."
