“We all know Greensboro is a great place for all varieties of home-grown music, with new artists emerging from the fertile Piedmont soil season after season. We shop local merchants, eat local produce -- "Listen Local" is the perfect chance for music fans to hear new artists and support their local favorites.”

- Laurelyn Dossett

Singer, Songwriter

Organized in 2007, Triad Acoustic Stage was formed by local acoustic music aficionados, who want to listen to and experience live music in small, intimate, cool settings – unlike what we’ve had in Greensboro before! TAS has now presented over 15 concerts between 2007-2011.

“Listen Local” is the first concert of its kind offered by Triad Acoustic Stage. This will be a music party featuring performers from this area, and will even include audience sing-a-longs!

Loosely modeled on the Tosco Music Party in Charlotte, but with that Greensboro flavor, “Listen Local” will feature a number of local musicians performing all genres of music, each performing one or two songs apiece. A full schedule of performers can be seen on our website: www.triadacousticstage.com. Some will be familiar, and others will become familiar after you hear them! Ten performers were specially chosen for their diverse musical talent. It will be a “Musical Spoonful” of just about everything.....some bluegrass, some Broadway, some jazz, ”a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll”. Performer CDs will be available for purchase during the event.

“Listen Local” is held under the auspices of Triad Acoustic Stage which has long brought quality performances to our area. Plans are for “Listen Local” to be held twice a year, in fall and in spring. Persons wishing to perform in the fall “Listen Local” should contact Triad Acoustic Stage by email or phone, and be able to provide a sample of their work, either a CD, an mp3 file, or a web site with sample music.

A full lineup for the April 16th “Listen Local” can be seen and tickets may be purchased online at www.TriadAcousticStage.com.

SUGGESTED FREE PARKING: Greensboro Parking Deck at Washington and Greene or the downtown streets of Greensboro. A reminder to our patrons: parking in the parking decks downtown after 11 PM is not free!

REFRESHMENTS: Coolers are accepted. Refreshments are available for purchase at the concert.
