"The Greensboro Coliseum Complex will host the first annual Central Carolina Festival May 14-18. With exhilarating rides and activities, it's a great time for the entire family! Enjoy delicious carnival food, rides & more!
The Central Carolina Festival will feature an action-packed midway featuring thrill rides, games of skill and delicious midway food from Drew Exposition. The midway will also feature a daily performing horse show (http://www.horseacts.com/) to delight those of all ages. The show consists of 12 miniature stallions, a beautiful Freisian from Holland and a black Arabian.
In conjunction with the Central Carolina Festival, the Greensboro Youth Council will host Operation Move on Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at White Oak Amphitheatre (Central Carolina Festival admission will be free until 1 p.m. on May 17). Operation Move encourages kids to be physically active and live a healthy lifestyle. The event includes a Superhero Fun Run and activity stations such as basketball, street hockey and inflatable games. Admission to the Central Carolina Festival is only $5; college and military with ID as well as all individuals under 42” in height will be admitted FREE. In addition, all patrons attending the Jake Owen concert at White Oak Amphitheatre on Friday, May 16 will be admitted free to the Central Carolina Festival on May 16.
