Swan Lake
The Moscow Festival Ballet
will present a full-length production of the ballet “Swan Lake,” at the
Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex on Saturday, May 10.
Tickets start at $15 and are
on sale now at the Annex box office and at ticketmaster.com.
The Moscow Festival Ballet was founded in
1989 by Sergei Radchenko, the legendary principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet
to bring together the elements of the great Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet companies.
Under Radchenko’s direction the company
has staged exciting new productions of such timeless classics such as
“Giselle,” “Don Quixote,” “Paquita” and “Carmen.” In addition, the company has
commissioned new works from within Russia and abroad, and it specializes in
20th century full-length ballets, including “Cinderella,” “Romeo and Juliet,”
“Legend of Love,” “Stone Flower” and” The Golden Age.”
Since its inception, the Moscow Festival
Ballet has completed two tours of Europe has toured extensively throughout the
United States. The company recently completed a two-month tour of Japan, Korea,
Singapore and Hong Kong.
