Greensboro Farmers Curb Market Serves up the Gritty Blues on Saturday, May 10

"Order up a creamy bowl of Old Mill of Guilford grits topped with sweet or savory goodness on May 10 at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.  At 9:00 a.m. line up at the grits variety bar for traditional and surprising grits combinations by “A Southern Soul” food blogger Donya Mullins. Then at 9:30 a.m., Acoustic Blues Duo 2008 winners Lorenzo “Logie” Meachum and  William “Big Bump” Klinefelter dish out their own signature blend of storytelling and the blues, sponsored by the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society. Grab your lawn chair or picnic blanket and help the market kick off Blues Week.
Market shopping for fresh spring produce and locally baked goods begins as usual at 7:00 a.m. and continues until noon. The Gritty Blues variety bar is $3 a bowl, with proceeds donated to the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.  Free admission to the market and plenty of free parking.
