"Sanctuary House has been named the recipient of the 10th annual TechTriad Extreme Nonprofit Makeover. Sanctuary House is a Greensboro nonprofit that facilitates the recovery and rehabilitation of adults with serious mental illness so that they may achieve and sustain satisfying, meaningful roles and lives in our community. TechTriad, Inc., based in Greensboro, teamed up with several Piedmont Triad businesses to present the 2014 Extreme Nonprofit Makeover.
“Technology is critical for access to care and that is why this Makeover is so important for Sanctuary House,” Sanctuary House’s Executive Director, Jodi Lorenzo-Schibley stated. “Our goal through this project is to have a greater impact locally so we can reach more people in need of our help and guidance.” TechTriad’s Sue Polinsky added, “We’re excited that Sanctuary House is our 10th annual Extreme Nonprofit Makeover recipient. It may be only one nonprofit that it benefits, but it makes a big impact on the local community. We are pleased to work with Triad businesses to support the nonprofits that do such good work in this area.”
The goal of the Extreme Nonprofit Makeover is to help the awarded nonprofit serve more citizens in the Greensboro area. Sanctuary House will receive free-of-charge services from TechTriad, Inc., Eastridge, Atlantic Webworks, and Atlantic Social Media Group.
Sanctuary House is delighted and honored to be awarded this opportunity. A true testament of being active in the community is the relationships Sanctuary House has built with community and local foundation groups.
Sanctuary House is proud to be one of 8 clubhouse model programs in North Carolina and among 400 programs around the world. A private nonprofit (501c3), Sanctuary House provides psychosocial rehabilitation emphasizing the Fountain House Clubhouse Model.
