Dognapping Reported to Winston-Salem Police

"Missing Dog: A small Yorkshire Terrier puppy, approximately 7 months old.  A picture is not available at this time but the puppy has very distinctive markings.  His coat is brown but his back is grey.  His head has very light-brown colored fur on top which makes it appear as if he has a “Mohawk” haircut.  The dog’s collar was removed by the suspect.

The Winston-Salem Police Department is asking for help in locating a stolen dog.  The dog was stolen at approximately 2:20 PM today from the 700 block of Mulberry Street by a person 

Between 5’6” and 5’10” tall, weighing between 130 and 155 lbs.  He was a wearing a black baseball hat, a black t-shirt with a design on the front and blue-jean shorts.

The area where this incident occurred is located in the West Salem community, which is located adjacent to the southwest side of the downtown area of Winston-Salem. 

The suspect and the dog were last seen walking towards the downtown area by a witness around 3:00 PM.
