Triad March of Dimes announces participating chefs for annual Signature Chefs Auction

"Greensboro, NC (September 15)- The Greater Triad Division of the March of Dimes is proud to announce the 2014 Greensboro Signature Chefs Auction will take place, Thursday, October 2 at 6 p.m. at the Empire Room in downtown Greensboro. As part of this special event, the following chefs will be participating in the event:

The chefs, along with their respective restaurants and catering companies will provide guests with a delectable variety of dishes during the formal fundraiser; the event also features premiere dining packages available for bid during an exciting live auction, provided by the participating restaurants and caterers.

Every year, more than half a million babies are born prematurely, and more than 120,000 babies are born with serious birth defects. With the support of millions of people and thousands of companies, March of Dimes has been able to reduce the rate of premature birth. However, there are still too many babies born too soon or sick.

Early research led to the Salk and Sabin polio vaccines that all babies still receive.  Other breakthroughs include new treatments for premature infants and children with birth defects.  About 4 million babies are born each year in the United States, and all have benefited from March of Dimes lifesaving research and education.

Kara Cox and Preston Young serve as co-chairs for this event, and Craig and Beau McIntosh, along with their children, Adelaide (6), Fletcher (4), and Finn (2) are the 2014 Ambassador family.
