The Straight 8s and The Raving Knaves to play The Green Bean April 11

The Straight 8s
"North Carolina’s rockabilly circuit is alive and kicking, partly due to the efforts of musician and promoter Dave Quick whose “Heavy Rebel Weekender” and “Elvis Fest” events draw bands and fans from around the state and nation. It was at Elvis Fest in January, where rockabilly purists The Straight 8s, from Chapel Hill, met Greensboro’s neo-mods, The Raving Knaves and decided to plan a gig in Greensboro.
The two bands will perform Saturday, April 11 at The Green Bean. It’s a compatible mash-up of three decades of influences as both bands put forth with intentional showmanship and staging that has been known to inspire dancing. Event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/399106646917880/
