"GREENSBORO, NC (December 2, 2015) – On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at 6:45 pm Greensboro Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving personal injury on Interstate 40 West near W Wendover Ave.
An uknown pedestrian was struck while walking in the outside through lane of Interstate 40 West. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The identity of the pedestrain is still unknown at this time.
Interstate 40 was closed for westbound traffic at W Wendover Ave, but has since been re-opened.
Alcohol and speed were not factors for the operators of any vehicle involved.
The investigation is on going and being conducted by the Crash Reconstruction Unit.
