As co-founder, with his guitar virtuoso brother Duane, of the Allman Brothers Band in 1969, Gregg Allman has been one of rock's most influential and iconic performers, virtually defining Southern Rock in the process. He is a multiple Grammy Award winner, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and whose distinctive voice placed him 70th in the Rolling Stones list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, with his 2011 album, Low Country Blues, further cementing Allman's legacy as a gifted interpreter of the blues, as well as his status as a performing icon.
