Man grabs salvation army bucket and runs

"On Dec. 17 at 6:43pm, officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a reported larceny at the Wal-Mart located at 3475 Parkway Village Circle.

The Salvation Army bell ringer at this location was walking back to his post while carrying the red kettle containing donations collected throughout the day.  The suspect, described as a black male, 30, between 6' and 6'2", 130-160lbs with a shaved head and goatee, ran up behind the bell ringer and took the kettle as he was preparing to put the kettle on its stand.

The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and tan boots, then ran away on foot and entered the passenger side of the vehicle listed above.  The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Peters Creek Parkway.

SUSPECT VEHICLE: Silver or pewter colored full sized pickup truck; possibly a late 90s model Chevrolet with no tailgate, driver side rear window was covered in plastic and duct tape.
