"On Nov. 30 at 6:18pm, officers with the
Winston-Salem Police Department responded to Tienda Emanuel Grocery Store in
reference to an Armed Robbery in progress by two black males. Upon arriving at
the business, located at 3122 Infiana Ave., officers apprehended Malik Raqhib Lane, 19, black male, who is one of the two
subjects perpetrating the robbery. The
clerk advised that Lane and a second black male entered the store. The second
subject removed a handgun from his coat and approached the store clerk demanding
money. An undisclosed amount of money was
given to the subject who fled from the store through the rear exit just prior
to officers arriving. Lane was still in the store when he was apprehended. No
one was injured during the robbery.
This case was referred to the Criminal Investigations Division. According to the report, Lane, of 391 Highland Ave., Winston-Salem, has been charged with Armed
Robbery/Conspiracy/Kidnapping and is on a $15,000.00 Bond
