EbFest Bluegrass Music & Makers Festival to Support Southwest Renewal Foundation

"HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Southwest Renewal Foundation is hosting its 1st Annual EbFest Bluegrass Music & Makers Festival June 4 in the Industrial Market Square Courtyard in the Historic West High Street District from 1-10 p.m.

All proceeds from the festival will go to support the Southwest Renewal Foundation. The foundation is working to revitalize High Point’s historic industrial district.
This community celebration of music and makers will feature lots of live music and several displays and demonstrations showing how things are made.

There will be five bands during the day with jam sessions between sets. The five bands include: The Carter Brothers, McKinney Gap Band, John Hofmann’s AcousticA, Turpentine Shine, and The Peace Train Band.

Thomas Built Buses will host an interactive bus for guests to learn about their technology in celebration of their 100th year. A local glassblower will be demonstrating how he creates art and Printology Letterpress will be featuring a 100-year-old printing press. Other makers will include furniture, jewelry, pottery and art.

It is a family-friendly event with a children’s storytelling tent as well as an interactive children’s musical tent, where local musicians from Smith & Whitley will teach the children how to play instruments.

Food and beverages will be available to purchase through the String & Splinter.
Tickets are $10 for adults; children 16 and under are free.
