"Daniel Crupi, who has served as Director of Development and Public Relations for the Greensboro Symphony since 2013, will be the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer, effective June 1. The shift comes after three years of steady growth for the GSO, including a 30% increase in individual contributions and a number of new major gifts to the Symphony’s Endowment Fund.
The newly created position will work closely with Lisa Crawford, President & CEO, to oversee a diverse portfolio, including finance, development, community engagement, & artistic operations. “Daniel has become a valuable asset not only for the Greensboro Symphony but for the Greensboro community,” said Crawford. “He possesses tremendous potential and is an excellent example of how hiring recent local college graduates can act as a catalyst to strengthen the business landscape of our area.”
Crupi’s background in the arts is varied, having worked in arts marketing, operations, and production in addition to his time in development and public relations at the GSO. He also possesses a performance background, having graduated from the University of Notre Dame and UNC-Greensboro with degrees in music. “The Greensboro Symphony is in a strong position and has an exciting future in the impending Steven Tanger Center,” said Crupi. “I am honored to continue to play a role in the Symphony’s growth and development as we strive to lay a firm foundation for future success.”"
