Bill Knight called YES! Weekly a moment ago to inform us that he will be holding a press conference in front of First Citizens Bank at the corner of Market and Elm streets to announce plans to run for mayor of Greensboro.
Advocate for removing Mitchell Johnson, and someone with a special interest in the municipal budget, to start with. I'll ask him if there are any circumstances in which he would consider raising taxes. If he says no, I'll label him a fiscal conservative. Do I need to look up Mr. Knight's party registration and post it on this blog, or does everybody know how to use the state BOE website to do that for themselves? Mayor Yvonne Johnson is a registered Democrat, in case anybody hasn't been paying attention.
