Ten out of 11 candidates for Greensboro City Council at-large are scheduled to appear at the Guilford County Unity Effort forum at 6 p.m. this evening at the Greensboro Historical Museum, along with the four candidates for District 2 and one candidate for District 5.
The 10 at-large candidates expected to appear include Marikay Abuzuaiter, Jorge Cornell, Sandra Anderson Groat, DJ Hardy, Julie Lapham, Gary Nixon, Robbie Perkins, Ryan Shell, Danny Thompson and Nancy Vaughan. Max Benbassat withdrew from the forum because of work obligations.
The four District 2 candidates include Nettie Coad, Dan Fischer, Gordon M. Hester and Jim Kee.
Art Boyett is expected to be the only candidate seeking the District 5 seat who is attending the forum, as incumbent Trudy Wade has declined to participate.
