Description: Volunteers are invited to work one-on-one with students at Smith High School in the following areas: Physical Science, Algebra I & II, Geometry, US History, Civics and Economics, English (9th grade)

Food Assistance

Description: volunteers will help packing food bags, packing gift bags for Easter, clean and stocking the warehouse, delivering canned goods to nonprofit agencies, delivering food to homebound seniors

High Point Regional Health System

Description: volunteers will assist with creating gifts for patients. Craft stations will include: sun-catchers, get well, thank you, and valentines day cards, potted pen flowers/bouquets of homemade flowers, placemats, bookmarks, and cookies.

Interactive Resource Center

Description: Will be serving a hot meal to the homeless while hosting a program called “I Have a Dream” where community members will share hopes and aspirations. Volunteers will assist with cooking and serving the meal. Volunteers may also participate in the program

Beloved Community Center

Description: volunteers will assist the residents of the East White Oak community to become energy efficient. Volunteers will be trained to perform audits and go house-to-house assisting residents.

Black Child Development

Where: Murphey Traditional Academy 2306 Ontario St., Greensboro NC
Description: Volunteers will help to beautify Murphey Traditional Academy, a Title I elementary school, by painting identified classrooms, bathrooms, and hallways. Additionally they will be assisting the Media Specialist with organizing the school’s media center, making books and materials more accessible to the students upon their return to school.
