Tea time in Texas

At least one Republican candidate on Forsyth and Guilford ballots comes from the Tea Party movement and a large share of the bumper crop of the Republican challengers are feeding into the grassroots spirit of discontent.

How well are they likely to perform in the May 4 primary? If the results in the recent Texas primary are any indication, they could have some challenges.

Another question: If grassroots passion on the right results in victories for the most conservative candidates, how will it play in the general election? My guess is the Democrats would like nothing better than to be able to paint their general election opponents as "extremists."
