So I want to say that it would be a great mistake to assume that the retirement of Chief Bellamy would resolve the Greensboro Police Department’s problems. It is not one or two people that we’re engaging; it is a deeply entrenched culture. Additionally, it would be unwise, unworkable and unfair to bring another chief in on top of the corruption and double standards that now exist.”
