Panels selected to vet next Greensboro police chief

The city of Greensboro announces that five panels, including community representatives and city employee, have been established to help vet candidates for police chief.

City Manager Rashad Young is quoted in a city press release as saying, "The assessment process, which includes public and internal panels, will help us match the criteria we have developed for a new police chief with the strengths and experiences our exceptional candidates possess."

Somebody alert Guarino: One of the panels includes a representative from the Pulpit Forum.

No idea.

But I bet it wouldn't be that hard to find some real journos and bloggers to volunteer for a real conference.
