A&T forum to feature congressional and state legislative candidates

Tonight may be the last chance for Guilford County voters who haven't made up their minds about the congressional, state legislative and sheriff races to hear directly from candidates.

The candidate forum takes place in Room A218 of the General Classroom Building on the campus of NC A&T University across from the football stadium and behind Crosby Hall from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.

Organizer Austin Wright tells me the following candidates have confirmed that they will participate:

US Senate: Democrat Elaine Marshall
US House District 12: Democrat Mel Watt and Libertarian Lon Cecil
US House District 13: Democrat Brad Miller and Republican Bill Randall
NC Senate District 28: Democrat Gladys Robinson, Republican Trudy Wade and independent Bruce Davis
NC House District 58: Democrat Alma Adams and Republican Darin Thomas
NC House District 60: Democrat Marcus Brandon and Republican Lonnie Wilson
Guilford County Sheriff: Republican BJ Barnes and Democrat Phil Wadsworth

Ask Mel Watt why he intentionally took advantage of a superior court judge [James U. Downs] who was totally ignorant of North Carolina intellectual property laws to win an injunction in Onyx Communications Group v. Juan Whipple, 91 CVS 12107. He was then and still is a very dishonest and manipulative human being.
