An announcement from the city of Greensboro has the following members of the Greensboro Police Department receiving promotions:
• Chris Walker, currently assigned to the southern division, from captain to assistant chief;
• Mike Richey, currently assigned to the eastern division, from lieutenant to captain;
• Rich Culler, currently assigned to the investigative support division, from lieutenant to captain; and
• James Hinson, currently assigned to the special operations division, from lieutenant to captain.
The announcement did not specify the officers' new responsibilities.
