Jay Stephens admitted to intensive care

We've just learned that Ziggy's founder and manager Jay Stephens has been admitted to intensive care and is at present facing a serious health challenge. As such, the planned opening for the new Ziggy's location this weekend has been delayed until further notice.

Major shows that have been affected are this weekend's slate, Gillian Welch, Dawes, Jamey Johnson, Shawn Colvin, and Codeseven. Management is in the process of arranging new venues, and all events are expected to be retained and tickets honored.

That's alarming news. What happened? I hope Jay is okay. He'll be in my prayers.
