Two arrested in armed robbery of Beaufort Bailey

Winston-Salem police report that they have arrested two young men for the armed robbery of former Forsyth County Commissioner Beaufort Bailey.

Bailey was accosted at his front door by three males armed with handguns on the evening of March 17, according to a police report. The suspects forced their way into Bailey’s house on Glenhaven Lane, locked Bailey in an interior room and stole electronics.

Police arrested 17-year-old Damarqus Keyvon Washington, who lives on the same block as Bailey, 18-year-old David Justice Muhammad of Speas Road. Washington and Muhammad are charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and are being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
