Former FBI Assistant Director Christopher Swecker will release a report on his 16-month independent review of the Silk Plant Forest case investigation at the Worrell Professional Center on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Jill Marker was brutally beaten on Dec. 9, 1995 while working at the Silk Plant Forest store near Hanes Mall. Kalvin Michael Smith was arrested and convicted for the crime although no physical evidence has linked him to the scene or to the crime.
