Smashing things for fun, profit and politics

The New York Times piece on Replacements Limited, the Greensboro-based china company, detailed the loss of business suffered by taking a strong stand against Amendment One as told by company founder and Chairman Bob Page.
But in the comment thread, hundreds of Times readers pledged support for the company and said they planned to become customers.
Now, an upstate New York woman has taken things a step further.
Chris Lavin, of the Finger Lakes region of New York, posted a YouTube video she made while smashing a piece of her own china so she would have a reason to buy something from Replacements, and called on others to do the same.
