The Fourth of July fireworks at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons are on.
Forsyth County government had threatened to cancel the fireworks because of lack of funding, but a press release today from park staff indicates that Winston-Salem Federal Credit Union, Piedmont Advantage Credit Union and the Winston-Salem Journal stepped up as sponsors.
Gates open at 5 p.m. The gate fee will be $5 per car or $10 per bus. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic and will be treated to a concert by the Below the Line Band. The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
