On Feb. 17, at approximately 10:00 pm, Officers were dispatched to the Smile Mart Convenient Store located at 5668 W. Market Street in reference to a robbery of business.
On arrival, Officers were advised that a white male entered the store, carrying a handgun and demanded money from the employee. The suspect was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of money and flee the scene on foot.
The Smile Mart employee was not injured.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’7” tall and skinny build. The suspect was wearing brown pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a dark colored bandana on his face.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Western District Officers, K9, CID and CSI responded.
