Cycling Sunday Fun Day Coming April 27

"Cycling Sunday Fun Day returns Sunday, April 27, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. with traffic-free cycling around West Salem and free games and activities on the Salem Creek Greenway.
A .75-mile loop on Marshall, Poplar and West streets and Salem Avenue will be closed to motor vehicles for cyclists, walkers, and skaters and skateboarders of all ages. Helmets are required for cyclists.
On the greenway, participants can enjoy face painting, corn hole, hula hoops, jump ropes, parachute games, field games, and bike decorating.
To encourage turn-out, the elementary school with the most representatives will receive $400 in physical education equipment for their school.
Free parking is available at the Gateway YWCA (enter from Main Street) and at Gateway Family Practice, 390 W. Salem Ave. (enter from Broad Street).
Participants should register for the event near Gateway Family Medicine or at the bridge across Salem Creek. Registration is used to determine how many people represent each school for the prize.
In case of bad weather, call 703-3219 for information.

Cycling Sunday Fun Day is sponsored by the Winston-Salem Bicycle & Pedestrian Program, the Gateway YWCA, the Forsyth County Public Health Department and Novant Health: Gateway Family Medicine. A map and more information is available at DOT.CityofWS.org, or call CityLink 311."
