Handgun used in robbery of two teens

"At 7:15 pm, on May 26, Greensboro Police Officers responded to a reported robbery from person that occurred in the parking lot of Food Rite, located at 3000 E. Market St.

The victims, 19 year old Darriel Jefferson and 18 year old Dervin Jefferson, had gotten into a verbal altercation with a subject at the above location. During the altercation, the subject brandished a handgun and took personal property from the victims before fleeing on foot. The victims attempted to pursue the suspect in their vehicle, at which point the suspect fired several rounds from the handgun towards the victims, with one round striking their vehicle. The victims then ceased their pursuit of the suspect and awaited police arrival.

No one was injured during this incident.

During the preliminary investigation, Officers were able to identify the suspect as 26 year old Oliver Cromwell Jamison Jr. At the time of this release, Mr. Jamison has not yet been located. Warrants for the arrest of Mr. Jamison are currently being sought for the following charges stemming from this incident: Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon; Two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon; Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; and Injury to Personal Property.
