Verbal altercation leads to home break in and knife fight

"At 11:30 pm, on May 26, Greensboro Police Officers responded to an aggravated assault that occurred at 2712-C Patio Place, in Greensboro.

Based on the preliminary investigation, Officers learned that earlier in the day, 23 year old Alyssa Dearmon and several of her friends had gotten into a verbal altercation with another group of subjects. Later in the evening, that group of subjects came to the above home of Ms. Dearmon and forced entry into the apartment. Also present in the apartment at the time, were Ms. Dearmon’s boyfriend, 28 year old Anthony Fuller, and five minor children. Mr. Fuller became engaged in a physical struggle with the suspects. During which, Mr. Fuller sustained several superficial lacerations from some type of knife. During the struggle, one of the intruders discharged a firearm inside of the apartment. No one was struck by the gunfire and the suspects then fled the apartment, taking with them some property from inside of the residence.

Mr. Fuller sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.

During their investigation, Officers were able to determine the identities of two of the suspects as 25 year old Safye Townsend and 20 year old Dallas McClure. At the time of this release, these suspects had not yet been located. Warrants for their arrest are currently being sought for the following charges stemming from this incident: First Degree Burglary; Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon; Conspiracy; and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Additionally, Mr. Townsend is being charged with Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

Eastern Division Patrol and CSI responded to this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
