High School teacher accused of inappropriately touching student

"The Winston-Salem Police Department received information that Carver High School 38-year-old teacher, Samuel Erick McClain had inappropriately touched a student.

According to police reports, a Carver High School student made the report to a Carver High School administrator, who then made the School’s Resource Officer (SRO) aware of the report. Criminal Investigations Division detectives responded and assumed responsibility of this investigation.

During the investigation detectives learned that two male Carver High School students independently reported that McClain of Chapel Downs Court in Greensboro, inappropriately touched them, by patting them on the buttocks. Both incidents were reported to have occurred at Carver High School, during regular school hours.

A Forsyth County magistrate issued two warrants of arrest for McClain, each for Misdemeanor Simple Assault. McClain was arrested and served. He was released after posting a $1,000.00 secured bond. His court date was set for June 25, 2014.
