“Preparations for the festival are well under way and productive”, said Greg Karagiorgis, chairman this year’s festival. “Being an indoor/outdoor festival, we can accommodate any weather situation. We have two stages for dancing and food is served inside our Hellenic Center.”
“It takes our entire congregation to support, produce and volunteer for the festival. Are we are delighted each year to invite Winston-Salem and surrounding communities to sample Greek culture, even if just for a few days,” said Father Demetri Kangelaris. “We are so proud that a portion of the funds raised from each festival are put back into our community.” said Fr. Kangelaris.
A portion of proceeds benefit Brenner Children’s Hospital, the Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina and Greek Youth Ministries.
Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church is located at 435 Keating Dr. For directions and more information call (336) 765-3663 or visit the church website www.wsgoc.org."
