Cameo, El DeBarge & Midnight Star perform July 26 at White Oak Amphitheatre

"Diamond Life Concerts has announced its Summer Soul Series will bring Cameo, El Debarge and Midnight Star to Greensboro’ s White Oak Amphitheatre on Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 and the Greensboro Coliseum box office.

Best known for crossover smash hits such as “Word Up!” and “Candy,” Cameo has been scoring chart topping R&B and dance hits for over 30 years. With their outlandish stage presence and hard-driving funk sound, Cameo has influenced countless R&B and hip-hop acts. Larry Blackmon and his group are best known for a  slew of chart topping singles including “Attack Me With Your Love," "Single Life," and "Back and Forth.”

Known for his signature falsetto, El DeBarge was the lead singer of the '80s R&B sibling group DeBarge throughout their career, appearing on the hits "All This Love," "Love Me in a Special Way," "Who's Holding Donna Now," and "Rhythm of the Night." After leaving the group in 1985, he launched his solo career in 1986 with a self-titled debut album that featured the number three hit "Who's Johnny?," His most recent  release, 2010’s Second Chance, earned him three Grammy nominations.

A self contained party band in the P-Funk/Earth, Wind & Fire mode, Midnight Star is known for the high-energy live shows featuring their long line of hits including “Curious,” “Wet My Whistle,” “Operator,” and “Don’t Rock the Boat.”"
