MISS NC TEEN |
"The Piedmont Triad is invited to be a part of two beautiful evenings: the 2015 Miss North Carolina USA and Miss North Carolina Teen USA pageants on October 10 – 11, 2014, at The High Point Theatre, 220 East Commerce Avenue, High Point, 27260. High Point became the home to Miss North Carolina USA in 2001 because of their close relationship to speaker, author and entrepreneur, Dr. Nido Qubein. For the 14th consecutive year, High Point will host these exciting, prestigious events and the many bright, beautiful young women they bring with them.
Paula M. Miles, President of RPM Productions, Inc., the organization producing the pageants, expressed her enthusiasm for the location. “High Point is the perfect home for the Miss North Carolina USA and Miss North Carolina Teen USA Pageants,” she said. “The contestants, their friends and their families will be treated to a first-class event and will be able to experience the warm hospitality High Point shows us.”
The pageants are the Official State Preliminaries to the Miss USA® and Miss Teen USA® Pageants, which are part of the Miss Universe Organization, an NBC Universal and Donald J. Trump partnership.
Contestants between the ages of 14-26 will compete in interview, swimsuit and evening gown competitions during the pageants, vying for thousands of dollars in scholarships and prizes as well as the ability to travel the state and country promoting the pageants and their charitable alliances.
This year’s all-star panel of judges arrive on Friday to begin meeting and interviewing the contestants for a chance to compete in the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants and work for Donald Trump in the Miss Universe Organization.
The winners of each pageant will have the experience of a lifetime representing the state of North Carolina at the nationally televised Miss USA pageant and live web-cast Miss Teen USA pageant. In addition, every contestant competing will have the opportunity to visit and tour High Point University, where each young woman will be offered a $4,000 scholarship, within a four year time period.
The winner of Miss North Carolina Teen USA will receive a $40,000 scholarship to attend High Point University, over the course of four years. The 1st runner-up will receive a HPU scholarship of $30,000, over a four year time period and the 2nd and 3rd runner-up’s will also receive a HPU scholarship of $20,000, over a four year time period.
Tickets are available now through the High Point Theatre’s box office, on a walk-up basis, by calling the Box Office at 336-887-3001 or visiting www.etix.com. Depending on seating preferences, ticket prices will vary between $40 - $50."
