Chandler’s International Gallery to Hold Auction, Sunday, November 23 Works from RJR Collection benefiting Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County will be included

"Winston-Salem, NC (November 11, 2015) -- Chandler’s International Gallery, the Winston-Salem auction house, in cooperation with Buckeye Advisors, will hold an auction beginning at 12:30  p.m., Sunday, November 23, that will include artwork owned by The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County and originally part of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company collection.

Artwork from the RJR collection includes original oil paintings, watercolors, engravings, charcoals, and limited edition prints, as well as porcelains and metal work figurines. Other estate pieces in this auction include items from the estate of former North Carolina Governor William Bickett, as well as fine antique Chinese pieces, jewelry, furniture, and sculptures.

The preview is Friday and Saturday, November 21-22, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday bidders may participate live at The Gallery on 1st Street located at 1530 W. First Street, Winston Salem. Chandler’s International Gallery has online bidding through Live Auctioneers, Invaluables, and Auction Zip. Bidders may also place phone bids and absentee bids by contacting the gallery through email (infoatthegalleryonfirst.com) or visiting during preview days. Preview is Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, 11:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Chandler Eshleman is the gallery principal.  He is a second generation, 20-year entrepreneur in the antique and arts world and has been a licensed auctioneer for more than 17 years. Eshleman currently works with the largest monthly antique show in the United Sates, where he has been a dealer for two decades.


Buckeye Advisors assists people who are transitioning from their homes to retirement communities or downsizing. Fred Jordan, a native of Winston Salem, is the owner."
