US Junior Olympics Start Next Week In Greensboro


More than 1,000 swimmers to compete at
Greensboro Aquatic Center


"INDIANAPOLIS - The Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) will host the 2015 U.S. Synchronized Swimming Junior Olympics beginning Friday, June 26. The event, formerly known as the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Age Group Championships, will run through July 4, 2015, and is expected to include more than 1,000 swimmers. 


"We are very excited to launch this newly named event, presented by eSynchro, in Greensboro," said USA Synchro Executive Director Kevin Warner. "We look for the new name to bring additional distinction for USA Synchro and prestige for the athletes who compete in the event."

All-session ticket books are currently on sale at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 and the Greensboro Coliseum box office. Ticket books are $30 and seating is general admission. 

Individual session tickets ($10 for adults; $5 for youth/seniors) will be available for purchase at the GAC box office on the day of event.

The GAC has extensive experience in hosting synchronized swimming events having previously served as the site for the 2013 Swimoutlet.comU.S. National Synchronized Swimming Championships and the U.S. Synchronized Swimming 2012 Olympic Team Trials.

The Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has estimated the 2015 U.S. Synchronized Swimming Junior Olympics will generate an estimated local economic impact of more than $4.2M.
