"GREENSBORO, NC (Aug. 14, 2015) – Quentrail Jamar Summers, 23, was arrested shortly before midnight yesterday by Greensboro police and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury for his alleged involvement with a shooting on Marion St. Thursday afternoon.
Summers is accused of firing several shots into a vehicle occupied by three people following an argument amongst them. It is unclear what the group was arguing about, although all four persons have gang affiliation.
One of the shots hit Rashad Christopher Jerome Lee, 20, 2196 McLaughlin Dr., in his head causing a superficial wound. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. Lee also sustained an additional gunshot wound after one of his passengers, Yaime Alhheh Smith, 19, 1223 Summit Ave., accidentally shot him in his right leg.
Smith, and the other occupant of the vehicle, Demarcus Laquane Stubbs, 21, 1021 Gregory St., were uninjured.
Lee lost control of the vehicle he was driving after being shot, causing it to collide with a mailbox, trash can, and parked car before coming to a rest at the bottom of the hill on Marion St. Smith and Stubbs then fled on foot and were soon located in the 1600 block of Oak St. They were questioned without further incident.
A search of Summers’ property yielded a stolen weapon and approximately 500g of “Molly” or MDMA.
All of the weapons used in the incident are in police custody.
Summers, of 1610 Oak St, faces additional charges including Trafficking in MDMA, Discharging a Firearm in City Limits, and Possession of Stolen Goods in connection with this incident. He is confined in the Greensboro Jail Central on a $1,000,000 secured bond.
Smith is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Discharging a Firearm in City Limits, and Manufacturing, Selling or Distributing a Controlled Substance. He is confined on a $25,000 secured bond.
The investigation continues and additional charges may be pending."
