"Jamestown, NC, June 4th, 2016 – The 2nd Annual Guilford County Summer Jam is an awareness-raiser and fundraiser for Alzheimer’s NC, a local non-profit that supports people affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias. The Summer Jam features various live acts, and is headlined by local Americana rock band The Radials. The event is designed to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and other dementias, while offering hope to the affected families and caregivers.
The event offers a child and pet friendly environment in Wrenn-Miller Park. Kona Ice and Zeko’s food trucks, as well as an appearance by the Sock Monkey, create a fun atmosphere. From 4-6pm, the focus is on family-friendly education and events. Vendors are available to talk to about services in our community with lots of raffle prizes and entertainment. Starting at 6pm, a beer garden for adults will be available during the evening Jam concert. A suggested donation of $5 gives you full access to all events.
